When working on my contents page I didnt feel as though the layout was right for the look I was going for, so whilst I added the final touchs such as my subsidary image and other features, I decided to rearrange the order/layout of the page. I now think that my contents page fits in better and works better with the rest of my magazine.

For the finishing touches to my double page spread, a like my front cover I decided to change the main image. I think that by using this picture my magazine feels more completed and fits in better with the whole layout, although this image is stretched and if I was able to do it again I may have chosen to take it further away with a lighter background.

When working on finishing the front cover of my magazine I found that the main image that I had used didnt fit as well as I may of liked it to. The image that I have now chosen to use works much better, I think that it fits in much better with the layout of my magazine and I am pleased with the front cover that I have created.

To come up with my contents page layout I had to make many things into consideration such as; how much room I was going to use for pictures/ information and how big I wanted my main title. I think that the contents page that I have created will attract the reader in all the right places but it also gives the reader the sort of information that they would be expecting to get from a contenets page. I like that through my contenets page I will be able to use a range of different pictures and designs.

Contents Pages That I Like

Contents Page Three;
This contents page contians many dfferent pictures which I think works well, although I think that it would work much better if each picture merged into the next. A like the other contenets pages that I have analysed, this page also creates a list of the the things included within the magazine, creating a neat and tidy contents page. Maybe one of the things I wouldnt include within my contents page is the bold header as it takes over from the rest of the contents page.

The thing that I like most about this contents page is the fact that the information works around the picture creating a focal point. The information is given the reader in quite a tidy way, listed around the main picture, I think this works well as the information isnt all huddled into one big list.

I really like this contents page as the layout is really effective. I like how the pictures all mingle together to make a collage without looking too much. On each picture this is a page number to let the reader know what to expect on every page, I think that this works well as it gives the reader an insite on what to expect. I also like the fact that they list what else is included on each page down the right hand side of the page, this allows the reader to turn strate to the page they are more interested in.

My Final Draft

For my last chance to give my magazine front cover its finishing touchs  I decided to include two strap lines. The first strap line is connected to my subsidary image, this is to tell the reader what is going on in the picture. The next strap line is '165 songs you need right now', this lets the reader know what they have to look forward to indside.
